A Biological Field Station and Environmental Center


The mission of Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is to promote environmental education, research, preservation and appreciation.

Opportunities for Everyone
Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is open to the public and welcomes a wide range of visitors including environmental professionals, researchers, K-12 educators and students, college/university students and faculty, and of course, the public.

Whether you come to take a class, explore the trails, attend a Sunday Brunch or participate in one of many events, your experience at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute will be a memorable and rewarding one. Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and our programs are designed to help you learn.

The beauty and richness of the Institute's natural setting are enhanced by a modern, earth-friendly campus that includes a visitor center, education building, research lab, and on-site housing.


There is no admission fee to the Visitor Center or the nature trails. A nominal fee may apply to programs and special events.
