Gordon Art Fellowship

2013's Gordon Art Fellow is Taylor Bishop from Western Michigan University, who is mentored by William Davis. Bishop will be using infra-red photography to produce a project entitled "Concealed Wetlands."

The Gordon Art Fellowship provides an undergraduate art student the chance to bring together his or her love of nature and art into one unique learning experience. Modeled after the Institute’s summer science research URGE program, the Gordon Art Fellowship provides a stipend to an undergraduate art student and a faculty mentor with the purpose of creating a two-dimensional visual art project at the Institute. This program is open to full-time students who have not yet completed the requirements for graduation and are attending one of the consortium member educational institutions. This learning opportunity is provided by George and Barbara Gordon, whose commitment to the arts is inspiring to the Institute.
