What Your Support Means to Us

Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is a natural classroom composed of forests, wetlands, open water, prairies, and fields. Its facilities are surprising and inspiring.  The Institute is a protected jewel, and since opening in 2001, it has been providing important opportunities for all who visit to personally experience, learn from, and connect with nature.

The Institute’s generous founders, Bill and Jessie Pierce, thoughtfully planted the seed- and a healthy beginning is obvious, but to reach out and touch more lives, additional funding and resources are needed.

Whether your gift is through a membership, a donation of cash or supplies, or a bequest in a will or trust, it will provide valuable support for us to build upon our mission to promote environmental education, research, preservation, and appreciation. A gift to the Institute is an investment in an important effort to preserve and protect our valuable natural resources through better understanding and awareness. Your gift will make a difference.

A Celebration of Life

Celebration Garden imageThe Celebration Garden at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is a nice, simple, inspiring spot populated with native wildflowers, bushes, and trees.  A Celebration Garden memorial or tribute gift is a wonderful way to honor family and friends and to commemorate special occasions.  It is a way to celebrate those close to your heart while supporting an organization and mission that is also close to your heart!

All memorial and tribute gifts given are listed in a book in the Visitor Center and published in the Institute’s newsletter, Naturally Speaking. Appreciation notes are sent to the honored individual or family. With gifts of $250 or more, you may choose to add to the garden with a planting.  Click here to download more information on this garden and a donation form, or contact Michelle Skedgell, Executive Director, at (269) 721-4470 or through email.

You will be able to visit the garden, sit among the butterflies and birds that also enjoy its offerings, and think of that special person in your life, while knowing you have helped us grow stronger in our mission to promote environmental education, research, preservation, and appreciation.
