Lunch and Learn: Citizen Science and Your Smartphone

Friday, April 27
Program: 10:30 am – Noon
Lunch: Noon – 1 pm

As smartphones, the internet, and other technologies advance, a new way of conducting research has emerged. Scientists are relying more on "ordinary" individuals who observe and collect data on the natural world around them. Learn how you can become a citizen scientist by just observing backyard birds or recording flower-blooming times. Join Program Coordinator Ellen Holste as she teaches participants how to use their computers and smartphones to collect data and help further science. Please register by April 26 to reserve a lunch.
