As a biological field station, Pierce Cedar Creek Institute serves as an outpost of understanding about our environment, a living laboratory where people can:

  • Learn how to preserve and restore natural habitats.
  • Increase and share their knowledge about species and habitats.
  • Grow their appreciation and love for native plants and animals.

To meet this mission the Institute offers a variety of educational programs throughout the year, including community programs. We also offer opportunities for students and groups to conduct ecological research.
